Right Track (funded by ActionAid)

Brief Description about the Client:

Established in 1988, Right Track is a community based development agency working to improve the quality of life of disadvantaged children in Kolkata and South 24 Parganas in West Bengal, India. The vision of the agency is to ensure an equitable social, political, economical and cultural order, where individuals, especially women and children have access to life with dignity.

Our Role:

Festoon provided the complete execution support for the project to the vendor agency.


The Challenges:

Millions of girls in India are forced to quit studies early and are married off at a very young age. Lack of education and early marriages cause numerous problems both physically as well as socially for them. The presentation was required to educate and create awareness among young teenage girls and their parents about the problems of early marriage and the importance of completing proper education. It had to be educative but at the same time interesting.

Our Solution:

Since the topic of the presentation was sensitive and was also targeted to be seen by both teenage girls and their parents, a narrative story was developed where the script was developed in such a manner so that viewers could relate themselves with it. A case study with imaginary characters was depicted by using 2D animation. The whole concept and target was to help girls and their parents understand, relate and realize the problems of early marriage and to encourage them to continue studies.
